As HOKA grows as an industry leader in performance running, trail, lifestyle, and apparel, the Public Relations Manager for North America will shape how HOKA appears in culture through earned media and brand experiences. This role involves leading PR strategy, execution, and storytelling that reinforce HOKA’s position at the intersection of performance, innovation, and lifestyle. The ideal candidate will develop integrated, insight-driven communication plans to build brand awareness and emotional connection with consumers across the US and Canada. Responsibilities include managing media relations across key verticals, collaborating with agency partners, and internal teams. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, strong editorial skills, and a deep understanding of the media landscape. Develop and lead a PR strategy to generate media attention and consumer engagement across North America. Align with global marketing initiatives through collaboration with regional teams. Create data-informed PR activations with Consumer Insights. Plan campaigns, media seeding, partnerships, and activations for core initiatives. Draft press releases, media alerts, and talking points. Manage media relations, including pitching and responses. Maintain relationships with key media contacts. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and media partners. Lead and contribute to brand events and activations. Oversee relationships with North American PR agencies. Lead agency collaborations, briefings, and workflows. Manage wear testing and seasonal product seeding. Develop internal PR reports and analyze campaign KPIs. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity. Manage and mentor the PR Coordinator. Build relationships with athletes, influencers, and internal teams. Represent HOKA at brand events and activations. Partner with Finance for budget management and ROI analysis. Who You Are
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. 7+ years in PR or marketing, preferably in footwear, fitness, or lifestyle industries. Successful experience in strategic PR planning and execution. Strong writing and editing skills. Experience managing agency and internal teams. Existing media relationships in relevant verticals. Experience with influencers and ambassador programs. Familiarity with footwear and athletic apparel industries. Extensive media contacts in North America. What We'll Give You
