This position works closely with our Direct Business customers and is crucial in reviewing customer specifications and interpreting and calculating equations efficiently and effectively. Position Summary:
This position performs engineering work related to researching, sizing, and quoting products, components, or portion of customer specific projects. This position works closely with our Direct Business customers and is crucial in reviewing customer specifications and interpreting and calculating equations efficiently and effectively. Must have strong understanding of Power Generation and Systems sizing.
Key Accountabilities:
Review custom requirements for Technical Feasibility and Safety Specify, size, and select subsystem components for power systems designs according to Engineering Guidelines Work with Suppliers to define scope of supply and material costs for custom options Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing products Develop Validation Plan to test and validate top level power systems as well as sub-level power system components Estimate Development, Testing, and Production labor for quoting custom solutions. Review and verify product performance via testing Assess reliability performance of product versus requirement Completes work according to standard engineering principles and practices Responsible to follow the company ERP procedures and maintenance as documented Responsible to follow the company quality management procedures as documented Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required
Basic Requirements:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time Bachelors Degree in the Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years experience in Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or 7 years Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent experience with any of the following systems: automotive, power generation, energy storage Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills Strong project management experience Strong interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
