Application Engineer

Position Summary: This position performs engineering work related to researching, sizing, and testing new products, components, or portions of power system solutions. This position is crucial in interpreting and calculating equations efficiently and effectively. Key Accountabilities: Specify, size, and select subsystem components for power systems designs according to Engineering Guidelines Test and validate top level power systems as well as sub-level power system components Contribute toward design of new product via product sizing and selection Review and verify product performance via testing Assess reliability performance of product versus requirement Analyzes proposals submitted to determine if benefit derived and possible applications justify expenditures Post-process test data and develop engineering reports Completes work according to standard engineering principles and practices Responsible to follow the company ERP procedures and maintenance as documented Responsible to follow the company quality and safety management procedures as documented Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct Perform special projects as required Basic Requirements: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. Bachelor's Degree in the field of Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 3 years' experience in the field of Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; or 7 years' engineering experience in the field of Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or power generation. Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communication skills Comfortable presentation skills Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite Rolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
