Plant Manager / Director of Operations Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and analytical

Bilingual Master Scheduler / Process Engineer

to join our operations team in a fast-paced

food manufacturing environment . This dual role is critical in leading both

production scheduling

and

process improvement initiatives , ensuring efficient resource utilization, optimized production flow, and compliance with strict quality and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing scheduling demands with engineering-driven process enhancements. Key Responsibilities Master Scheduler Duties Develop, maintain, and execute the

Master Production Schedule (MPS)

based on forecasts, customer demand, inventory levels, and plant capacity. Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure alignment across the supply chain. Issue daily and weekly production schedules, coordinating with shift supervisors to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery. Monitor and adjust schedules to address downtime, labor availability, or material shortages. Evaluate demand trends and capacity constraints, proactively identifying risks and mitigation plans. Process Engineer Duties Analyze current production processes to identify

bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities . Lead

continuous improvement projects

using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Develop, update, and enforce

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

to ensure compliance with

GMP, food safety, and regulatory standards . Support

new product introductions

by assessing process impacts and implementing improvements. Collect and analyze production data to drive performance improvements and operational decision-making. Qualifications Bachelors degree

in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience). 35 years of experience

in production scheduling, process engineering, or manufacturing operations food processing/CPG industry strongly preferred . Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

to effectively communicate with diverse teams. Strong knowledge of

ERP/MRP systems

(SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.). Proficiency with

data analysis tools

(Excel, Power BI, or similar). Understanding of

GMP, food safety standards, and quality assurance practices . Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and process improvements. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred .
