The Spectrum Connectivity Platform Operations team is responsible for testing, deployments, defect triage, and managing the overall Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) lifecycle within the production environment for all WiFi-related CPE across the Charter footprint. This includes both physical on-site CPE and AWS-hosted cloud components. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality products reach customers and offering opportunities for personal development and career growth. Duties and Responsibilities Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Collaborate with developers, testers, and deployment teams to create software and firmware deployment plans. Write and update automated scripts for installing server software products. Configure hardware or virtual machines and operating environments as needed. Work with developers and hardware teams to update infrastructure and OS for applications. Perform production installations and upgrades of server software products. Monitor system performance, reliability, and financial impacts. Identify and resolve complex issues as part of a team. Mentor less experienced engineers. Participate in project-related stand-up meetings. Create, review, and provide feedback on internal user documentation. Assist with installing or upgrading third-party software in collaboration with developers and infrastructure teams.

Basic / Minimum Qualifications

Experience with dynamic scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Groovy (5+ years). Experience deploying software using tools like Pexpect, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible (3+ years). Experience with Linux or other Unix systems (5+ years).

Required Job Qualifications

Extensive experience in packaging and delivering software to production. Proficiency in automating software deployments with tools like Puppet, Chef, Python, or Ansible. Experience with source control tools such as GitHub. Experience with Linux shell scripting (bash). Ability to produce clear technical documentation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of Agile SDLC. Leadership qualities to facilitate team consensus and interact with leadership and implementation teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS setup, configuration, and maintenance. Experience with real-time troubleshooting and participating in 24x7 on-call rotations. Knowledge of software development processes and configuration management policies. Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. Experience with VMware or other VM technologies. Experience supporting HAProxy, InfluxDB, Grafana, ActiveMQ, Artemis. Experience with Docker and container deployment. Familiarity with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, FishEye, and Crucible.
