$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Ascendo Resources The Corporate Payroll Manager oversees the organization's payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, compliance with federal and state regulations, and effective management of payroll systems. This role involves supervising payroll staff, maintaining records, and collaborating with HR and finance teams to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing : Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime for all employees. Compliance : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and other legal requirements. System Management : Oversee payroll software and systems, ensuring accurate data entry, system updates, and integration with HR and accounting platforms. Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing training and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery. Reporting : Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and financial summaries for management and audits. Issue Resolution : Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and issues related to payments or deductions. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, implement automation, and enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy. Collaboration : Work closely with HR to manage employee onboarding, terminations, and benefits enrollment, and with finance to reconcile payroll accounts. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records, ensuring data security and compliance with record retention policies. Audit Support : Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, reports, and explanations of payroll processes. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus. Experience : 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a corporate environment with 500+ employees. Technical Skills : Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred. Knowledge : Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements at federal and state levels. Leadership : Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies. Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing complex payroll processes. Certifications : Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
