Available About The Bank: This is a family-owned, relationship-driven community bank rooted in the values of integrity, service, and long-term partnerships. With deep ties to the College Station and Central Texas community, this bank prides themselves on delivering personalized service and customized financial solutions to it's clients. The commercial lending portfolio is heavily concentrated in commercial real estate (CRE), but they would also be interested in growing the C&I side as well. Position Overview: This bank is seeking an experienced, community-focused Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending to join their team in College Station, TX. This is a unique opportunity to inherit a strong, established loan portfolio from a retiring lender while also stepping into a leadership role, either immediately or after building a presence in the community if relocating. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in commercial lending, strong management capabilities, and a passion for community banking. Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial loans, primarily in CRE, with opportunity to expand into C&I lending. Build and deepen client relationships through community involvement and personalized service. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of commercial lenders and support staff. Work closely with executive leadership to develop and execute market strategies. Ensure portfolio performance and credit quality. Take an active role in succession planning and transition of an existing portfolio. Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing and servicing. Represent the bank in community events and organizations to enhance our visibility and commitment to the region. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lending, with a strong track record in CRE lending. Credit training or prior underwriting experience is required. Proven management experience; must be capable of leading a team and influencing at the senior level. Ability to develop and maintain strong community and client relationships. Experience in or ability to grow C&I lending is a plus. Strong knowledge of regulatory and credit risk standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
