Job Summary: Dexian is seeking a Mainframe TWS Consultant for an opportunity with a client located in Plano, TX. Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, analyze, and maintain TWSz software in large mainframe environments. Gather functional and technical requirements from clients and provide tailored solutions to meet their business objectives. Act as a subject matter expert on TWSz, its capabilities, and its integration with mainframe components like

REXX , and

VSAM . Identify and resolve issues within the scheduling system, performing performance analysis to ensure system uptime and reliability. Design, implement, and support TWSz configurations, including database usage and custom solutions. Provide comprehensive documentation for code, system configurations, and technical processes. Evaluate new technologies, suggest architectural improvements, and drive the adoption of best practices. Work closely with clients, project managers, and other technical teams to ensure seamless solution delivery. Requirements: Minimum 2-5 years of experience scheduling/administering/supporting the TWS/z software or other Mainframe schedulers such as CA7/Control-M in a large multi LPAR/multi SYSPLEX batch environment. Excellent understanding and knowledge of JCL/REXX/VSAM, catalogued procedures, and standard batch processing. Understanding of the use and application of various databases within the scheduling software. Ability to apply database changes with high accuracy within desired timeframes using established Release Management approval, deployment tools, and best practices. Research skills to understand the scope of issues and assess impact for corrective actions in high-risk circumstances. Proficiency in Mainframe z/OS, JCL, TSO, ISPF. Experience with Release/Change tools such as Endevor, ISPW, Remedy, or ServiceNow. Ability to work closely with clients to resolve tool issues. Mid-level knowledge of IBM Utilities like IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide off-hours support.
