Wright Technical Services is supporting a client in the advanced materials space in search of an experienced Contract Project Manager to oversee manufacturing activities, including capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful project execution.
Monitor and adjust project progress to ensure on-time completion.
Manage capital projects from inception to completion, adhering to budget and schedule.
Oversee procurement and installation of new equipment and technology.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Plan and execute site consolidation projects, including relocating operations and staff.
Develop strategies to minimize disruption and ensure operational continuity.
Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth transitions.
Plan and manage the relocation of manufacturing equipment.
Ensure proper decommissioning, transportation, and reinstallation of equipment.
Work with vendors and contractors to ensure timely equipment moves.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain regular updates with stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
Facilitate meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders engaged.
Address and resolve concerns raised by stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans and reports.
Prepare regular status reports for senior management.
Archive all project documentation upon completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
8+ years of project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience managing capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction methodologies, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and project blueprints.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Experience in a contract or consulting capacity.
