You'll lead our academic vision, setting rigorous standards and guiding elite teams to success. Your role will be pivotal in translating our scientific insights into operational excellence and advocating for our model worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing
Developing comprehensive academic frameworks that turn cutting-edge learning science into actionable curriculum and motivation systems, as well as app designs. Overseeing academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment and accountability in school teams, ensuring they achieve outstanding results. Conducting thorough analysis of data, interviews, and observations to create reviews of the academic ecosystem, highlighting key barriers to learning acceleration and suggesting effective interventions. Ensuring strategic alignment through meticulous planning, feedback, and tracking of milestones to keep the focus on achieving student learning goals. Acting as a representative for 2 Hour Learning at prestigious events, from keynote speeches to educational policy discussions, advocating for a paradigm shift in global education.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Engaging in minor curriculum projects without considering their broader impact. Publishing theoretical research disconnected from tangible student outcomes. Shifting accountability for performance to others without direct involvement. Relying solely on reputation or theoretical arguments to influence stakeholders.
Head Of Academic Innovation Key Responsibilities
Drive the expansion and enhancement of 2 Hour Learning's acclaimed academic model by aligning execution across schools, reinforcing leadership standards, and serving as the prominent public advocate for a movement rooted in robust science and proven results.
Basic Requirements
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related disciplines. A minimum of 7 years in a leadership role within academic or EdTech teams, demonstrating exceptional learning outcomes. Demonstrable experience in leveraging AI or technology to enhance learning speeds. A history of public thought leadership, including media appearances, keynote addresses, published works, or consultancy roles. Exceptional performance management skills, capable of maintaining high standards among top-tier peers. Proficiency in data analysis to identify learning challenges and implement corrective measures. Ability to engage confidently with students, parents, and educational leaders.
Nice-to-have Requirements
Experience founding or leading innovative school models, lab schools, or high-performing EdTech enterprises. Expertise in navigating diverse cultural, political, or international educational landscapes. In-depth understanding of Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning methodologies.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
