Inclusion Nurture Service Purposeful Integrity Resilient Engaged What You’ll Be Doing The Chief People Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of people services (human resources). As a member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, this position partners closely with executives and department leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals, foster a mission-driven and inclusive culture, and ensure legal compliance and operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This position has a team of four managers and a total team of over 20 HR professionals. Organizational People Strategy : Lead and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and future goals. Employee Lifecycle Oversight : Oversee all HR functions across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, performance, and offboarding. Team Leadership and Development : Supervise and support a multidisciplinary HR team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth. Equity-Driven Culture and Programs : Champion equity-driven strategies for employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational culture. Executive Advising and Workforce Planning : Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, leadership team, and Board on workforce trends, compliance, and talent planning. HR Technology and Analytics : Direct HR systems and technology strategy to improve data-driven decision-making and employee experience. Compliance and Vendor Management : Ensure compliance with employment laws and manage vendor relationships to support HR initiatives. What You’ll Need Education : Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is required. HR Expertise : Deep knowledge of core HR functions, including employee relations, employment law, self-funded benefits, recruitment, performance management, and compensation. Healthcare Knowledge : Familiarity with healthcare settings. Leadership & Strategy : Ability to lead multidisciplinary HR teams and align HR practices with organizational strategy and goals. Interpersonal and Organizational Leadership : Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Ability to lead change, navigate complexity, and build trust across all levels of the organization. Equity and Mission Alignment : Skilled at fostering inclusive environments and supporting employee development in values-driven, community-based organizations. HR Technology & Systems : Experience with HRIS systems, including workflow design, data integrity, and people analytics. Risk & Compliance : Strong understanding of HR compliance and risk management. Driving Requirement : Valid Arizona driver’s license and current auto insurance. Background Requirement : Ability to obtain Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 30 days of employment.
