Optical Technician III – Precision OpticsLocation: Lebanon, NH Industry: Ultra-Precision Optics Manufacturing Status: Full-time Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Persons only (ITAR-controlled facility) Take the lead on world-class optics with a team that sets the bar for precision. Bond Optics is looking for a highly skilled Optical Technician III to drive execution on complex optical fabrication tasks. This senior-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, high-accountability environment and wants to work on optics used in defense, space, and cutting-edge semiconductor systems.What You’ll Do

Lead setup and operation of advanced optical fabrication equipment including CNC and interferometric tools. Own complex polishing and testing processes with minimal supervision. Adjust and troubleshoot fabrication processes to meet tight surface accuracy and cosmetic specs. Mentor junior technicians and provide hands-on training and technical guidance. Collaborate on process development and tooling design for challenging geometries. Work with manufacturing leadership to prioritize and schedule work effectively. Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives. What You Bring

Expertise in optical fabrication, particularly polishing and metrology. Ability to work independently on high-precision tasks with tight tolerances. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Leadership mindset and team-first attitude. Comfort reading and interpreting testing data, drawings, and specifications. Preferred Background

5+ years of experience in precision optics manufacturing. Proficiency with interferometry and optical metrology tools. Technical training or relevant degree preferred. Experience with lean manufacturing is a plus. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and handle components weighing 15–50 lbs. Manual dexterity for fine adjustments and inspection tasks. Clear or corrected vision for detailed metrology and inspection work.
