Job Overview:
A respected and client-focused law firm is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its personal injury team in Long Beach, California. This full-time, primarily remote role offers a unique opportunity to develop litigation skills across all phases of a case, from pleadings to trial. Long Beach, California Duties:
Draft pleadings, motions, and oppositions Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including meet and confer correspondence and motions Represent clients in court hearings and argue motions both remotely and in person Conduct and defend depositions of percipient and expert witnesses Prepare pre-trial documents and assist with trial materials Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings Draft mediation briefs and actively engage in settlement negotiations Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress Supervise and collaborate with litigation assistants and paralegals Participate in regular legal training and development programs Requirements:
2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury Strong understanding of California civil procedure and court rules Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently Eagerness to grow professionally in a collaborative environment Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications:
Active membership in the California State Bar Skills:
Strong written and oral advocacy skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Persistent and resourceful with a proactive approach to litigation Effective communicator with clients and legal team members Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced legal setting Remote work flexibility Benefits:
