Job Description Description: The Warehouse Material Handler uses a forklift or other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse or in/out of tractor trailers and will be building wooden shipping crates with hand tools.
Duties Include but not limited: • Reviews all incoming packing list and freight bills and verifies they match the appropriate purchase orders. • Unloads materials by using fork truck or pallet jack and records materials received on the packing list or receiving log. • Reviews all bills of lading and packing lists for material to be shipped and pull material from racks and moves to staging area. • Verifies that bills of lading and packing lists match the actual material being shipped. • Loads material in accordance with standard procedure. • Conducts inventory counts as required by the department. • Creates shipping crates utilizing hand and power tools for safe shipping of finished outgoing products.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS: • The ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics is required. • Previous drivable forklift experience is required. • 1 Year of Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to stoop and bend frequently. • Must be able to walk on concrete surface constantly. • Must be able to sit on a powered industrial truck frequently. • Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures constantly and tolerate sudden temperature changes. • Must be on feet on concrete 8-10 hours a day.
