Position Summary: Promotes and restores patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directs and develops staff; collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; provides physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes standards of nursing for the unit, applying evidence-based standards and health care research. Plans, organizes, and directs health services for an assigned unit and insures that goals, objectives and work performed are consistent with standards and that quality care is provided to patients and families. Communicates with all staff members and provides feedback on a regular basis. Selects, mentors, motivates and directs development and evaluation of staff. Establishes and tracks quality improvement indicators and other information concerning services and care to ensure that resources are available to provide quality services and on-time performance consistent with standards. Participates, consults and collaborates in the development of long-range plans for unit. Interprets and communicates departmental policies and procedures. Establishes areas of responsibility and assignment. Develops or implements policies and procedures to insure efficient and effective delivery of health services. Receives, analyzes, and evaluates reports and other information and coordinates quality improvement activities concerning the care of patients, equipment, environmental health and safety conditions, and other related services in improving the quality and utilization of health care. Develops budget estimates and other information concerning financial requirements. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to insure compliance with budget guidelines and effective delivery of services. Coordinates and develops on-going activities to monitor nursing compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to provide holistic care. Qualifications: 5 years of ED managerial experience is required Bachelor’s Degree Must have current IL RN license PALS, ACLS an BLS Certification is required Nursing specialty (CCRN, CEN) or equivalent is preferred Compensation:
$110K USD Annual to $125K USD Annual The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job related reasons. Benefits: •
