Position Summary The Recruitment Coordinator will play a critical role in expanding SEs applicant pipeline for the Community Business Academy (CBA) and other programs by combining recruitment support, proactive outreach, and candidate relationship management. This role bridges community engagement with recruitment operations, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates who align with SEs mission and growth needs.
In addition to supporting the Recruitment Director with program admissions and operational processes, this role will actively engage with external community partners, strengthen SEs visibility, and help sustain long-term recruitment effectiveness.
This position directly strengthens SEs recruitment strategy by combining outreach, operations, and relationship management. The Recruitment Coordinator ensures SEs workforce sustainability, increases the quality and diversity of applicants and enhances the organizations visibility in key communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Applicant Pipeline & Community Engagement Expand applicant pool through proactive outreach to community partners, workforce agencies, educational institutions, and professional networks. Represent SE at career fairs, industry events, community programs, and alumni mixers. Build and maintain strong referral networks to diversify and strengthen candidate Pipelines. Admissions & Recruitment Operations Manage input of client data in Salesforce, including application reviews, acceptance communications, and reporting. Coordinate scheduling and logistics for info sessions, recruitment events, and alumni mixers. Support recruitment for specialty programs (e.g., PERC, Terra Firma, Spanish-language CBA). Maintain accurate records of outreach-generated candidates, follow-ups, and application status. Brand Visibility & Marketing Collaboration Acts as a liaison with the Marketing team to ensure accurate promotion of recruitment events. Provide quality control on marketing materials (flyers, Eventbrite, emails, social media). Increase SEs visibility in target communities, reducing reliance on paid advertising over time. Candidate Relationship Management Ensure timely and professional communication with prospective candidates and referral sources. Improve candidate experience through consistent follow-up and support. Data-Driven Impact & Compliance Track recruitment outcomes, source effectiveness, and event impact. Ensure outreach and admissions activities align with SE cohorts and organizational compliance standards. Continuous Improvement Identify process improvements for recruitment workflows. Help codify SOPs and best practices across recruitment functions.
Required Skills & Abilities Bilingual in Spanish and English (oral and written proficiency required). Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across diverse communities. Attention to detail, process-oriented thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools preferred. Comfort with digital platforms (G-Suite, Office 365, scheduling software). Experience in project management and ability to coordinate across departments. Passion for SEs mission and supporting entrepreneurs from marginalized or at-risk communities. Graphic design and database management experience preferred.
Minimum Education and Experience Associates degree preferred or 3-5 years relevant experience Experience working with, or passion for, returning citizens preferred
Attendance Reliable and predictable attendance is required. Availability to work occasional nights and weekends. Availability to work remotely and in person is required.
