About the Role Join the company, an employee-owned leader in civil and transportation engineering, as a
Licensed Land Surveyor / Manager . In this senior role, you will lead survey operations, manage multiple field crews, oversee project delivery, and drive client development. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise daily operations of multiple survey field crews and office technicians. Ensure QA/QC standards are met across projects, while managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities for roadway and utility corridor surveys. Support business growth through proposal development and client relationship building. Mentor and coach staff through one-on-one sessions and performance planning. Qualifications: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or eligibility to sit for the exam within six months of hire (exam fees covered by the company). 12+ years of land surveying experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role. Extensive experience with DOT and municipal projects. Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations. High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's in surveying or civil technology preferred).
