POSITION SUMMARY: Join our dedicated team as a Fleet Maintenance Technician A, where you will play an essential role in the upkeep of our cutting-edge equipment. Under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, you will perform vital repair and maintenance work on both diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. This role encompasses a variety of components, including chassis systems, refuse bodies along with their control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, as well as suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems, performing complex repairs both on-site and on the road.
  • Carry out chassis component repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Handle repairs for refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air and hydraulic braking systems.
  • Perform engine repair and maintenance duties.
  • Work on suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
  • Address heating and air conditioning system issues.
  • Engage in line maintenance welding and fabrication projects.
  • Utilize various electronic tools to identify sources of malfunctions.
  • Complete applicable training programs provided by the company.
  • Execute other job-related duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of experience as a technician servicing heavy-duty trucks.
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs independently in some of the following systems: Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions.
  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with LNG and/or CNG is advantageous but not required.
  • Possession of a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Driver's License.
