We are looking to hire a Marine Yacht Cabinet Maker to join a world class marina in Thunderbolt, GA who will be responsible for participating in and completing the fabrication and installation of wood and other fine finishing in yacht interiors. You will inspect, repair, modify, construct, rebuild, and maintain woodwork and other cabinet structures

Responsibilities:

Interpret and understand drawings and blueprints for joinery fabrication. Confer with shop foreman to assist in developing guidelines and quotations for joinery labor and materials Setup, safely operate and maintain woodworker hand and power tools Lay out, cut, shape, mold and assemble components using wood, wood substitutes and other materials

Finish sand and apply veneer, stain, polish or laminates to surfaces Fit and install components in coordination with other trades. Program and Operate CNC Machine

Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge, operation, and set-up of tape measure, square, hand saw, hand plane, table saw, and chop saw, planer, joiner, band saw, shaper, surface sander, router, vacuum pumps, and inverted router. Sixty (60) months Cabinetry work experience desired with

boatbuilding/repair

experience a plus. Must have a complete understanding of marine grade types of hardwoods and plywood for each application; as well as types of glue to use under assembly for the intended application. Must possess the ability to periodically board vessels in and out of the water, work steadily in confined spaces, climb, lift and move lumber, tools and supplies as necessary. Ability to stoop, crouch, pull, push, reach, hear, near vision, kneel, talk, grasp, lift up to 50lbs and be able to walk quickly to and from job locations up to 500 yards in distance are required.
