Flex Position - Assembly and Deburring!

Responsibilities for the Deburring portion; visually evaluating products and removing burrs, sharp edges and other discontinuities using hand tools and other buffing and sanding equipment.

Responsibilities for the Assembler portion; assembling mechanical components and systems used in aerospace and defense products. This role involves working with precision tools and equipment to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities

Deburring and Finishing

Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts using hand tools, power tools, or specialized deburring equipment (e.g., grinders, files, sanders, tumblers, or polishing wheels). Perform manual or mechanical deburring based on part complexity and specifications. Inspection and Quality Control

Visually inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, surface finish, and other imperfections. Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances and finishes. Ensure all parts meet customer or engineering specifications before passing them to the next stage. Reading Blueprints and Work Orders

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job travelers to understand part requirements and deburring standards. Material Handling

Safely move parts between machines, workstations, or storage areas using carts, pallets, or manual lifting as required. Organize and label finished parts for identification and tracking. Assembly

Assemble mechanical components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Conduct functional tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation. Quality Control

Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise Experience:

Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry. Familiarity with precision machining and assembly techniques. Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills.
