Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented
Director of Supply Chain Planning
to lead our supply chain planning and analytics. This director will be responsible for driving excellence in demand forecasting, supply planning, Material Resource Planning ("MRP") and system configuration, sourcing and onboarding support, and supply chain analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in supply chain planning, analytics, process design, and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting and Accuracy Improvement Develop and maintain demand forecasts and supporting master data in NetStock to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency. Generate monthly forecasts and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align forecasts with business objectives. Measure forecast accuracy and root causes of forecast misses. Continuously improve process, forecasting approach, data, and tools to increase forecast accuracy. Create and maintain key reporting to identify and track forecast outliers, update working forecast as needed. Maintain forecast version history and forecast uploads between NetStock and the companys MRP system. Supply Planning and Optimization Oversee end-to-end supply planning with a focus on supporting customer fulfillment while optimizing gross margin, networking capital requirements, and space constraints. Drive and continuously improve customer fulfillment, including safety stock strategy, replenishment models, customer contract and stocking agreement support, and analysis of out-of-stock transactions. Create and maintain replenishment and inventory forecasts to support customer fulfillment, supplier partnerships, growth objectives, and operational planning. Develop key processes and tools to review and optimize inventory requirements and profitability, including economic order purchasing and transfer vs direct decisions. Optimize transfer planning to reduce freight expenses while improving fulfillment and lead times. Support operational capacity and labor planning and perform ad-hoc analysis. MRP Configuration and Maintenance Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the MRP system and master data. Champion master data reviews and updates for accuracy and timeliness. Guide setup of new items and locations for accuracy and visibility. Partner with IT and procurement to optimize MRP messages and functionality. Sourcing and Onboarding Support Support sourcing and commercial teams with onboarding of new items, customers, and locations. Provide analytical support for quotes, supplier selection, and performance tracking. Partner with sourcing to capture key master data for economic ordering and cost analysis. Track raw materials and commodity indexes for contract negotiations. Support reconciliation of ancillary costs. Supply Chain Reporting and Analytics Develop dashboards, KPIs, and analytics for decision-making. Drive data governance and standardization. Provide strategic, executive-level reporting and insights.
