Warehouse Order Selector
Job Summary
The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting products from the warehouse, labeling products, palletizing orders, and transporting completed pallets to the dock in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires operating a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or forklift.
Essential Functions
Hand-select customer orders within warehouse environments (Dry, Cooler, Freezer). Locate products using warehouse slotting systems and match physical product to pick labels. Accurately place and secure pick labels on products. Properly stack products on pallets, following company procedures (e.g., weight distribution, allergen separation, product separation, labels facing outward). Operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely to transport products. Stage completed pallets at correct dock locations for loading. Shrink-wrap pallets for stability prior to shipping. Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment; maintain and operate equipment safely, including use of PPE. Follow sanitation and safety standards at all times; report unsafe conditions or injuries immediately. Frequently lift products weighing up to 60 lbs; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. Constantly bend, twist, and reach while operating equipment and retrieving products. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience
Prior experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift. Prior warehouse or foodservice industry experience preferred. Job Competencies

Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, push, pull, twist, bend, and carry products up to 100 lbs. Use hands to grasp, handle, or operate tools and controls. Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and environments (Dry, Cooler, Freezer). Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy goals. Ability to work at a steady pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of product handling, placement, and inventory control practices. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, including understanding safety regulations. Must work in varying conditions (dry, refrigerated, freezer, wet surfaces, and moderate to high noise levels). Must successfully complete and pass forklift certification.
