Job Description Salary: $23-$25/hour About New Moms At New Moms, were on a mission to empower young moms and their families to thrive and build brighter futures. Through innovative housing, job training, and family support programs, we serve hundreds of families each year across Chicagoland.

About the Role The Spiritual Formation Coach is part of the Parent Education and Recruitment team and works across all New Moms programs. Youll lead spiritual wellness groups, guide participants through individual faith journeys, and collaborate with staff to integrate spiritual wellness into their work for participants. Youll also build connections with local churches and faith-based organizations to strengthen community partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply rooted in their own Christian faith, and is passionate about helping young families find purpose and strength through spirituality.

Location: Chicagos Austin neighborhood (with regular travel to Oak Park and East Garfield Park locations) Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours/week, Tuesday-Thursday (Wednesdays must be 9a-2p) Starting Salary: $23-$25/hour

What a Day Might Look Like Facilitate a group activity for housing residents or job training participants that provides a space to talk about their spirituality within a safe environment Connecting with a program coach to support them with tips and ideas on how to engage a participant around conversations of spirituality, focused on hope and healing Research and identify new materials or resources that participants will find useful and engaging on their spiritual journey Writing and updating materials used to support participants faith journey Develop a flyer for an upcoming event to engage participants and work on internal promotion strategies for participant attendance

Key Responsibilities Plan and lead spiritual wellness activities, including one-on-one sessions and groups Develop and prepare materials, resources, and logistics for events (meals, transportation, communication) Support participants through coaching, assessments, and crisis intervention when needed Use coaching technologies and digital tools to stay connected and track progress Keep accurate, timely records of services and interactions Train and support staff to integrate spirituality into their work with participants Build partnerships with churches and faith organizations for family support Represent New Moms positively with participants, staff, partners, and the community Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and New Moms Coaching Model for ongoing growth

Youll Thrive in This Role If You: Feel called to ministry and love walking with people through spiritual exploration Can connect authentically across different faith and non-faith backgrounds Have experience helping young people explore their faith in non-judgemental ways, and want to work in a non-traditional ministry setting Are a self-motivated engaging group facilitator and empathetic one-on-one coach Can balance group facilitation, coaching and administrative tasks with ease Are comfortable to travel between multiple sites during the same day

Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in a ministry field such as Christian spirituality required; Masters preferred Experience: 2+ years in ministry or spiritual formation (Christian church or human services setting required); experience with young adults (24 and under) preferred Skills: Strong relationship-building, communication (written & oral), and Microsoft Office proficiency Other Requirements: Valid drivers license, safe driving record, reliable car, and insurance Must be available Tuesday through Thursday; Must be available specifically from 9am-2pm on Wednesdays Flexibility to work occasional evenings

Work Environment: Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours, walk stairs, and lift up to 3040 lbs (or perform with reasonable accommodation). Work environments may vary.
