Candidates may be required to work 1 weekend shift a month if the weekend team member needs the weekend off. No call is required. Traveler is expected to float to like acuities or less if needed. Responsible for the professional and technological performance of echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and/or transesophageal echos. Provides quality diagnostic and therapeutic care to achieve the highest standards of care specific to the age of the patient, including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census includes 8 studies per day. Patient diagnoses involve individuals needing ECHO's, carotids, and TEE's. Candidates should have experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, and ICU. Skills required include 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Treadmill Stress Echo, Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area. Familiarity with GE, Hitachi, PACS, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba equipment is preferred. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
