The Company is seeking a VP for U.S. Real Estate Research with a focus on living sectors, including residential, student, and manufactured housing. The successful candidate will be part of the Global Research team, responsible for in-depth property market, capital market, and macroeconomic research. This role is pivotal in identifying and supporting the execution of future real estate investment areas. The VP will be expected to conduct research on investment themes and trends, assist in the development of investment strategies, and contribute to real estate investment underwriting. A key aspect of the position is to track and analyze trends that impact residential property markets and the economy, as well as to maintain proprietary databases and resources relevant to the company's business objectives.
Candidates for this role at the company should hold at least an undergraduate degree, with a preference for a specialization in real estate, economics, urban planning, or geography, and have 5-7 years' of experience in the real estate or institutional investment industry. Previous experience in a research and strategy role within the living sector is essential. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is a must, and knowledge of GIS and experience with data, analytics, and AI tools is a benefit.
