About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Technical Accounting to take on a pivotal role in leading the reporting function and ensuring the integrity of financial and operational data. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS, driving the annual budget process, and supporting forecasting activities. This role also involves acting as the primary contact for external audits, managing a small team, and fostering professional development while aligning financial reporting with strategic goals.
Applicants for the Head of Technical Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with an MBA being preferred. A CPA and/or Chartered Accountant certification is required, along with a minimum of 10 years' of accounting or audit experience, and at least 5 years' of experience in managing a global team. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, technical accounting, and regulatory rules is essential, as is a strong background in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting and cash flow. The role demands a candidate with strong ethical standards, and integrity, and excellent communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Experience in the commodity trading industry is also preferred.
