Principal / Senior Principal Controls Software Design Engineer

within the Microelectronics Center (NGMC). You will be part of a Software Design Team focusing on Controls Software for complex systems, supporting critical engineering reviews and milestones. Responsibilities

Design and develop controls software for complex systems Support software design team lead and collaborate with engineering teams Participate in reviews such as SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR Qualifications

For Principal Level

Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years of experience; 3+ with Master’s; 1+ with PhD Familiarity with Command and Control or Controls System software Experience with real-time embedded software, requirements, interface definitions, code, and unit testing Knowledge of software design principles, computer architecture, and relevant technologies Familiarity with SysML/UML and Model-Based Systems Engineering Excellent communication and technical briefing skills US citizenship and active DoD TS/SCI clearance with polygraph ability For Senior Principal Level

Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of experience; 6+ with Master’s; 4+ with PhD Same technical qualifications as Principal level Preferred Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Experience with full software lifecycle, hardware/software integration, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Python, C/C++ Knowledge of software design patterns, application management tools, and agile methodologies Compensation

Salary Range (Level 1): $110,300 - $165,500 Salary Range (Level 2): $137,400 - $206,000 Additional benefits include bonuses, health insurance, PTO, and more. Additional Info
