ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.
Serves as a liaison between DNS/ADNS regarding scheduling and staffing on the units. 2.
Assumes complete responsibility in ensuring adequate nursing staffing including completing and posting the nursing department schedule, covering callouts, and granting vacation requests with ADNS approval. 3.
Maintains vacation calendar for nursing staff. 4.
Maintains approved Nursing Department staffing budget (including scheduling staff with OT budget management). 5.
Processes weekly nursing payroll in coordination with the facility-level human resources. 6.
Aides in resolution of payroll issues with employees. 7.
Assists in the hiring of new C.N.A.s. 8.
Track professional nursing licensure/certifications as directed. 9.
Generates payroll change forms for the Nursing Department 10.
Relieves receptionist for breaks as needed. 11.
Completes hours worked report for the Nursing Department/Administrator. 12.
Tracks absenteeism and tardiness in the nursing department. 13.
Tracks nursing employee participation in incentive programs when applicable. 14.
Maintains an accurate list of telephone (contact data) numbers of all nursing department staff members 15.
Maintains absence paperwork resulting from call-outs and communicates with the appropriate management. Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by the Supervisor / Administrator.
