Our gourmet store located in Melville is actively looking for an experienced FT Pizza Manager. Our Pizza Managers are responsible for directing the daily operations of the Pizza Department, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery. Responsibilities
Manage the Pizza Department within our gourmet food market, following company policies and guidelines. Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, staff training, inventory management, and safety compliance. Prepare pizza, dough, and sides according to our gourmet recipes. Fulfill pizza orders from in-person customers, phone orders, and online orders. Utilize a cash register for customer checkout. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a pizzeria or restaurant setting. 3-5 years of pizza-making experience in a fast-paced environment. Food handlers license preferred. Ability to follow standardized recipes. Excellent customer service skills. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment. Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, understanding). Knowledge of NYS, local, and federal food handling and sanitary laws. Possible exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects, and industrial equipment.
