Director of Risk Management , you will play a key role in managing the company’s comprehensive insurance programs, including liability, property & casualty, auto, and group insurance. Your experience with corporate insurance renewals will be essential in ensuring the organization’s risk strategies are both effective and efficient. Key responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening the company’s risk management framework, overseeing the bond and surety program, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. In this position, you will act as a strategic advisor within the organization, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. Implement risk mitigation and remediation strategies while proactively identifying, reducing, and transferring risks. Oversee the corporate risk management framework, insurance claims, and partnerships with internal clients, brokers, and providers to ensure alignment with company objectives. Responsibilities
Design and implement an overall risk management process for the company, including analyzing the financial impact of risks on the company and subsidiaries. Select effective and appropriate brokerages on behalf of the organization. Analyze and assess insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage for company needs. Negotiate with insurance brokers and carriers for the best insurance rates. Oversee claims and settlement values; analyze other insurance sources that could cover claims. Maintain and promote an environment of risk awareness through policies and procedures. Develop and coordinate loss control functions. Maintain records of insurance policies and claims. Prepare risk management and insurance budgets. Generate and present comprehensive risk assessment reports. Create reports to help internal stakeholders understand risk impacts on their operations. Manage the captive insurance administration of workers' compensation claims, general liability, and auto insurance. Vet company contracts to identify potential risk issues. Qualifications
MUST HAVE SKILLS 8+ years of Risk Management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles Experience in both brokerage and corporate risk management environments Safety and insurance risk management experience is helpful Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred Strong math, computer skills, including Microsoft Office Database management experience Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship NICE TO HAVE SKILLS Risk Manager certification Local candidates preferred; relocation considered for the right candidate For immediate consideration, please send your resume directly to D.A.
