to serve as the
Power Platform Solutions Architect
for a large-scale federal modernization effort. This role requires proven expertise in
modernizing legacy applications
, establishing
governance frameworks
, and delivering
enterprise-level solutions
using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in application modernization, data migration, and system interoperability while ensuring compliance with federal IT and security standards. Responsibilities Serve as the
Technical Lead and Solutions Architect
for a major application modernization initiative. Lead the
design, development, and deployment of Microsoft Power Platform solutions
(Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI) to replace and modernize legacy systems. Architect and implement
low-code/no-code applications
to streamline workflows and improve system interoperability. Provide technical guidance on
API development and system integration
with enterprise logistics, financial, and maintenance systems. Define and enforce
data governance, security controls, and application guardrails
across all developed solutions. Conduct technical assessments of existing applications, databases, and processes to identify modernization opportunities. Develop and maintain
architecture documentation, system design artifacts, and configuration baselines
. Lead technical demonstrations, sprint reviews, and solution walkthroughs with stakeholders. Provide mentoring and direction to development teams on Power Platform best practices and federal compliance standards. Ensure all deliverables comply with
federal IT standards
(e.g., Section 508, FIPS 140-2/3, Records Management). Eligibility & Qualifications Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience
: Minimum of
10+ years of software/application development experience
with at least
5+ years in solution architecture or technical lead roles
. Hands-on expertise with
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI)
in large-scale enterprise deployments. Demonstrated success leading
application modernization and data migration
projects. Strong background in
API design, system interoperability, and cloud-based integration frameworks
. Familiarity with
federal IT security and compliance requirements
(e.g., DHS/DoD frameworks, Section 508, FIPS). Skills
: Strong technical leadership and team mentoring skills. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Ability to translate mission requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
