Salary : Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Reports to : Meg Rupp, Senior Technical Designer

Travel : Occasional travel may be required

Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Sample Coordinator to join our growing Product Development team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth sample management throughout the development cycle and acts as a central liaison between design, merchandising, production, and our vendor partners. This position plays a key role in ensuring seamless sample management for Tuckernuck's Private Label collections and collaborations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

Track, receive, organize, and distribute all incoming development, fit samples, photo samples, and TOP (top of production) samples.

Maintain sample inventory with precision; ensure accurate labeling, tagging, and storage of samples.

Coordinate outgoing samples to cross-functional teams including marketing, e-commerce, retail, and PR.

Act as the main point of contact for sample-related communication between internal departments and external vendors.

Assist the Product Development team in tracking and updating sample statuses within Air Table, Lets Flo, and internal trackers.

Partner with creative and merchandising teams to ensure all sample needs are met for e-commerce shoots and marketing campaigns.

Maintain sample tracking across fit rooms and ensure reference samples are sent to vendors in a timely manner.

Order and track all reference samples from vendors for production and ensure proper documentation.

Steam garments in preparation for fittings and photoshoots.

Add sample images to internal systems for tracking and presentation purposes.

Prepare daily shipments to vendors, documenting contents and tracking information and communicating return tracking details.

Manage and organize product samples for editorial and e-commerce shoots, ensuring shoot lists are updated, approvals secured, and outstanding items sourced from vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Merchandising, or applicable field.

1–2 years of relevant experience in apparel design, product development, merchandising, or sample management (internships included).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Passion for the Tuckernuck brand and interested in retail/ fashion

Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Strong communication skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Attention to detail with a passion for process improvement and accuracy.

Enjoy building strong, positive relationships with teammates and vendor partners

Proficiency in Google Suite, and ability to learn new software systems quickly

Ability to lift, move, and transport sample boxes (up to 30 lbs).
