Overview Title: Sample Coordinator, Private Label Accessories

Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Reports to: Product Development Associate (and Director of Product Development/Production)

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

The Sample Coordinator, Private Label Accessories is responsible for obtaining, organizing, and maintaining all Tuckernuck Development and Production samples for the Accessories team. The Accessories team oversees six categories: Beach Shop (resort apparel), Footwear, Handbags, Home, Belts, Scarves. They will own the logistics and tracking for each sample needed to support the Development/ Production and PR/ Photoshoot teams for all applicable categories. They will know where the sample inventory is at all times through consistent vendor communication and staying up to date on our in-office fulfillment. They have a pulse on the expected delivery of every sample and work as a liaison across cross-functional teams: Design, PD/ Production, Buying and Marketing, to ensure all teams have samples needed for development and product reviews. The Sample Coordinator also works directly with our NY Office Manager to create labels and coordinate sample shipments between offices. This position will report directly into the Product Development Associate (and Director of Product Development/ Production).

Responsibilities

Manage and track all samples for all development and product reviews by coordinating with vendors, Design, Development and Production teams

Request samples in accordance with development and production timelines and update team Product Development Report and Merch Sample Powerpoints regularly with sample ETAs

Will also communicate all sample ETAs to corresponding team members

Place product orders from warehouse for office reviews and vendor references as needed

Request and receive samples for studio shoots and assist the Production Coordinator by dictating "Priority" samples

Provide special photography callouts, and any changes the studio/buyers may not be aware of upon receipt of Shoot Recaps

Photograph incoming samples for all categories and call out any issues, flaws to PD/ Production team members

Update shared photo albums and internal powerpoint presentations in a timely manner with sample photos ahead of key meetings

Prep meeting rooms with all relevant samples ahead of key meetings

Manage internal sample inventory tracking, to ensure external teams return all borrowed samples

Attend proto meetings, fittings and sample reviews with PD/ Production team members

Work directly with Development and Production team members to "retire" samples from previous seasons to ensure our sample library is kept up-to-date and duplicates are eliminated/sent to sample sale

Track the product life cycle from start to finish beginning with initial sample development to pre-production stage in ERP system

Minimum Qualifications

1-2 years of relevant experience
