This position is available only to enrolled American University students. The Front Desk Assistant supports a team of eight staff members by providing reception and administrative support for the SIS Undergraduate Advising Office. Essential Functions: Scheduling appointments, filing, answering the front desk phone and email, and greeting students and other guests. Other duties will include scanning and photocopying, data entry, and delivering documents to different campus departments. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time. Current AU student. Scheduled hours are 6 hours per week. Active Federal Work Study award. Salary Range: $17.95 -$18.20 per hour. Required Education and Experience: Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work in multicultural environments. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Customer service focus is essential. Comfortable moving event tables/chairs and able to lift 25 pounds. Preferred Experience: Previous experience working at AU campus office.
