Cook & Kitchen Leader

in early childhood and food service compliance Role Responsibilities Prepare and serve healthy meals/snacks aligned with
USDA & CACFP nutritional guidelines Oversee kitchen operations, including sanitation, menu planning, and food safety compliance Maintain inventory, order supplies, and track costs with fiscal responsibility Supervise and guide kitchen assistants to ensure smooth operations Coordinate with teachers daily to confirm meal counts and special dietary needs Provide
flexible support
by assisting with light administrative or classroom tasks during non-meal times Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment in line with
Georgia DECAL licensing requirements Required Education & Experience
To be considered for this role within a
Georgia-licensed early childhood center , candidates must have: High School Diploma or GED
(required) Minimum
1 year of food service/cooking experience
in a licensed childcare center, school, or healthcare setting Knowledge of CACFP guidelines
and safe food handling practices ServSafe Certification
(preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire) CPR/First Aid Certification
(preferred, or ability to obtain) Ideal Candidate Profile Passionate about
child development and early learning environments Flexible, dependable, and a strong
team player Organized with attention to detail and a commitment to safety Comfortable providing classroom or administrative support when needed Professional, positive, and motivated to support both children and staff Compensation & Benefits $15.00 - $20.00/hour
