Position Overview
We are looking for a self-driven, strategic, and results-oriented Sr. Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, new design wins, and long-term customer success across hyperscale, AI, and networking OEM segments. This is a high-impact role focused on growing established accounts and breaking into new strategic opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of ownership and accountability, thrives in complex global environments, and demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively, both vertically and horizontally within organizations. In addition to proven customer-facing success, this individual will have strong analytical capabilities, a solid business development mindset, and the ability to clearly articulate and align sales strategies across internal teams for coordinated execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive customer strategy, engagement, and revenue across hyperscalers, AI companies, and global OEM accounts.
- Lead the development and execution of account plans to achieve revenue growth, NPI success, and long-term customer alignment.
- Identify and penetrate new accounts, secure design wins, and build multi-year business pipelines.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels—executive, business, engineering, and procurement.
- Operate effectively independently, and in a matrixed organization across regions, functions, and teams.
- Use strong analytical skills to assess opportunities, prioritize investments, and build compelling business cases.
- Translate complex market, customer, and technology trends into actionable sales strategies that align with corporate objectives.
- Communicate and drive alignment on sales strategy across internal stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Exec team) to ensure flawless planning and execution.
- Understand and adapt to diverse global cultures and business models, especially in cross-border engagements.
- Ensure accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and execution of contracts, pricing, and delivery agreements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; technical background preferred.
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in optical transceivers or related industries, including:
- Optical components/modules
- High-speed networking (switches, routers, optical systems)
- Interconnect or semiconductor solutions
- AI/cloud infrastructure hardware
- Demonstrated success in:
- Managing complex, global strategic accounts and driving revenue growth through roadmap alignment and NPI execution.
- Winning and expanding into new accounts through design-in strategies and deep technical engagement.
- Strong business development skills, with the ability to open new doors and create opportunities from concept to closure.
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking abilities to assess markets, drive decisions, and support internal alignment.
- Comfortable articulating sales strategies and roadmaps to cross-functional stakeholders for planning and execution.
- Effective in working independently while driving alignment across vertical and horizontal teams.
- Experience working in global organizations, across multiple geographies and cultural contexts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to ~50%).
Preferred:
- MBA or Master’s degree in a technical or business field.
- Pre-existing relationships within target customer segments.
- Working knowledge of technologies like optical transceivers, silicon photonics, co-packaged optics, and data center interconnects.
- Familiarity with global supply chain dynamics, contract manufacturing, and long-term agreements.
