SSD Quality Assurance Reliability Test Engineer (Contractor) 3-6 months

SK HMS Systems engineering / Quality assurance group is looking for a motivated individual who has experience in storage device testing and qualification.

Job Description:

SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. (SKHMS America) has a key design center in San Jose with focus on SSD development. This is a key foothold for SK HMS for the development and validation of bleeding edge enterprise and cloud data center SSD products. SK Hynix is continuing investment in the area as we continue to grow our enterprise SSD product portfolio.

We are looking for a SSD reliability validation engineer to join the Reliability System Engineering team. The RSE team is an integral part of our SSD validation process, joining forces with our various design teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our industry leading products. As a member of the team, you will be working with various cross-functional collaborative environments to coordinate reliability validation efforts and help meet our validation deliverables.

A successful candidate should be self-driven, able to communicate clearly, and must work well in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Execute test plans (test type, phase, quantity) to maximize test coverage
• Partner with our NAND, FW, SoC, and other validation teams to work issues to swift and effective solution
• Design and develop tests to continually improve SSD validation coverage
• Coordinate and test data analysis efforts to better identify potential SSD issues
• Position is required to be working onsite to collaborate and coordinate activities with other functional teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in the data storage industry
• Familiarity with fundamental SSD concepts such as performance, power loss, and endurance.
• Familiarity with storage test methodology (such as RDT and design margin testing)
• Experience working with volume SSD test system such as Flexstar, Neosem, Advantest, or UniTest equipment
• Experience working with enterprise class servers and linux environments
• Experience with developing test scripts (Preferred languages: Python, C/C++, Java)
