Cloud Intake Analyst / Requirements Engineer

- Note: This position is pending award and selection therefore is contingent in nature. This effort is estimated to be awarded mid-August with start dates ranging from mid-September to early October.
This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations (Public Trust) to work onsite in Washington, DC. Relocation assistance is not available.
Summary:
The Intake Analyst combines requirements engineering discipline and excellent client engagement skills to support the intake, qualification, and documentation of new cloud service opportunities for TCloud customers. This position plays a key role in guiding stakeholders through the intake process and ensuring a smooth transition from initial inquiry to project initiation.
What you will do:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for TCloud customers and stakeholders regarding new cloud service intake opportunities and requests.
- Conduct and facilitate requirements gathering meetings and intake sessions with stakeholders to elicit business and technical needs for proposed cloud solutions.
- Analyze, document, and validate customer requirements, ensuring alignment with overall TCloud cloud strategy, policies, and technical capabilities.
- Track, monitor, and report the status of all customer requests, ensuring each intake request is mapped to appropriate contractual actions and managed to completion.
- Prepare and deliver customer-facing documentation, including intake status reports, performance summaries, and regular updates to OCIO leadership.
- Qualify and triage intake requests based on program policies and technical feasibility, providing timely feedback and guidance to customers.
- Support the intake estimation process, including developing high-level technical approaches and participating in reviews of cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Document and maintain intake workflows, processes, and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Liaise with acquisition, financial, and technical teams to ensure intake requirements are properly captured and incorporated into subsequent contract actions.
- Support program communications by developing reports, briefings, and process documentation using Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools.
- Contribute to onboarding and customer engagement activities, helping new users of TCloud services navigate intake and requirements processes.
- Clearance: Active Public Trust Tier4 security clearance or the ability to obtain, particularly within the Department of the Treasury. Treasury badge strongly preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud computing services (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud) and their primary capabilities.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and analyzing technical and business requirements, ideally in an IT or cloud services context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to build relationships with customers and act as a consultative liaison with a service-oriented approach.
- Experience working with intake, helpdesk, or service request processes in a government or complex enterprise environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal program management, acquisitions, or IT project delivery is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent intake requests and priorities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaborative workspaces (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to meet federal background investigation requirements.
- Background in requirements engineering, business analysis, or sales engineering supporting cloud or IT programs.
- Understanding of financial, contractual, or procurement processes related to cloud service delivery.
- Experience supporting customer intake, onboarding, or cloud migration activities in a federal environment.
