Estimated Weekly Pay Weekly Pay Range: $1,570-$1,680 per week (estimated) Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Albemarle, North Carolina (zip 28001) Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (35 beds, average census 22) Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Locum Tenens) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/2/2025, End: 11/29/2025) Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:00), 36 hours/week Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Orientation: 3 days (facility and unit) Scrub Color: Navy Parking: Free onsite Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Strong post-operative care and orthopedic nursing experience preferred Proficiency with EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors Ability to float within region and scope of practice (Med/Tele, ICU, PCU, ED) Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including stroke, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses, diabetes, post-surgical, and behavioral health diagnoses Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 (may increase during surge staffing) Perform stroke assessments, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, and wound care Administer and manage medication drips (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids) Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists Float to other units and facilities within the region as needed Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing education and orientation Apply now to join our healthcare team and explore rewarding travel nursing jobs in North Carolina!
