This role involves providing exceptional, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients in a critical care step-down unit, committed to high-quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized medical management.- Monitor patients continuously via telemetry and pulse oximetry, managing a variety of critical care needs.- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to construct and implement individualized patient care plans.- Administer medications, including titrated IV infusions, and manage various types of lines (arterial, central).- Effectively utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed and interpret dysrhythmias to ensure optimal patient safety.- Participate in procedures that require specialized nursing skills, adhering to evidence-based practices.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health record system.- Provide compassionate support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing education. Qualifications: - Current and valid New York State RN License is required.- Minimum one year of nursing experience in a critical care or intermediate care setting.- Epic electronic charting experience is mandatory.- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.- Strong skills in dysrhythmia management and the use of telemetry.- Experience with airway management and non-invasive ventilation preferred. Shift Information: - Schedule: Night shifts (4x12 hours)- Start Date: 9/16/2025- Weekend Requirement: Every weekend About the Facility: - Total Staffed Beds: 528- Type of Facility: Tertiary Care Hospital- Daily Census: Approximately 17 patients in the Intermediate Care unit.
