Job Details - Med/Surg RN Locum Tenens Assignment Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing) Location: Wausau, WI (Medical and Pediatrics/MAP Unit) - Wisconsin healthcare jobs Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 - End: 1/17/2026) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday Float: May float to all inpatient units as needed Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130 Qualifications - Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Active Wisconsin RN License (Registered Nurse) BLS certification (Basic Life Support) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred Proficiency with EPIC charting system required Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Wausau, WI Key Responsibilities - Med/Surg RN Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions, including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, diabetes management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:6-7 during nights Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and ancillary staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude in a dynamic hospital environment Float to other inpatient units as needed to support clinical operations Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotations as part of the nursing team Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Med/Surg RN locum tenens job in Wausau, Wisconsin!
