Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/21/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel General Information Beds: 2 Cath labs, 2 Hybrid peripheral/OR Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 years minimum with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI and peripheral experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if very experienced in Coronary, Structural heart, complex PCI and peripheral cases Travelers must live 100 miles away from facility Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler Patient Types: Coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, LVAD insertions, etc. Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1 Required Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent or RCIS is required Required Education: RN:Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Tech:AA/AAS Degree Skills required: RN: Critical patient assessment skills, Vasoactive and Sedation drug administration, sterile technique, air management, Laser and Lithotripsy Atherectomy, Cardiac Cath lab and Peripheral IV skills Devices: IABP, Impella, Rotoblator, Penumbra Tech: 2 years minimum with coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral experience Tech must be able to perform table movement (panning) Arrhythmia recognition and treatment, critical patient assessment skills Will not have to float to IR; IR and Cath Lab are separate departments Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio): N/A Charge nurse: M-F, Phlebotomy: N/A IV/VAT Team: N/A Charting System: EPIC (required) Epic Cupid (preferred) Alaris Omnicell Floating: If yes, where? No Orientation:(facility and unit) 4 days (10 hr shifts) Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Q4 weekends Will they be on call? Yes, 1-2 days per week from and every 4thweekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday am Holiday Expectations: possibly 1 per assignment Approval of time off?
