Experience: Minimum 2 years in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience
License: RT or equivalent or RCIS required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
Must-Have:
- Critical patient assessment skills
- Vasoactive and Sedation drug administration
- Sterile technique
- Air management
- Laser and Lithotripsy Atherectomy
- Cardiac Cath lab and Peripheral IV skills
Description:
This position involves working in a cardiac cath lab with various patient types.
The patients may include those with coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, and valvular disease.
Experience with renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions is required.
Technicians must be able to perform table movement (panning) and recognize and treat arrhythmias.
The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1 RN to 1 patient.
Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility.
First-time travelers may be considered if they are very experienced in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases.
The role will include on-call responsibilities, requiring availability 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend.
Holidays may be expected during the assignment.
Time off approval must go through management.
The charting system used in the unit is Epic, with a preference for Epic Cupid.
