License: CT credentials required by the hiring department must be current upon hire or advancement. Certifications: AHA BLS required. Must-Have: - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty. - Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty. - Core to intermediate-level knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology. - Ability to apply core to intermediate-level theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data. - Ability to work independently with limited direction and demonstrate attention to detail. Description: Under general to limited supervision and direction, this intermediate-level position accepts independent clinical and non-clinical duty assignments to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services. Services are aimed at adult and/or pediatric patient populations to aid medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of conditions and diseases. Maintains competencies required to perform essential duties and responsibilities of a Level I position. Utilizing intermediate-level professional knowledge, provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Identifies and implements necessary actions to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals. Utilizes specialized imaging equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures. Conducts post-procedure reviews without assistance to confirm completion of study elements and technical quality. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares studies for reporting. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies. Provides instruction and mentors less experienced members of the team. Prepares and presents in-service training pertinent to assigned service area. Performs and/or assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.
