Looking for an exciting opportunity to work remotely in the engineering industry? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Protection & Controls Substation Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, making a significant impact on the energy sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in high voltage systems (15-500 kV), substations, and a deep understanding of the substation project lifecycle. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities
As a Protection & Controls Substation Project Manager, you will: Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of protection and control systems for high voltage substations (15-500 kV). Oversee all aspects of the substation project lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and commissioning. Conduct critical calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations to ensure optimal system performance. Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Ensure all designs and implementations comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to protection and control systems. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control systems for high voltage substations (15-500 kV). Proven experience managing the substation project lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and commissioning. Strong knowledge and experience in performing critical calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage budgets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Proficiency in the use of industry-standard software and tools. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
