These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Tech will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials and equipment. The tech will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities :
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients Operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort Assist physicians in interpreting images and making diagnoses Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and regulations Provide patient education and support Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Experience working with radioactive materials and equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures Health, vision & dental benefits - eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month Short and long-term disability and basic life insurance - after 30 days of employment Physical Demands : The Nuclear Medicine Tech may be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift and move equipment and patients, and work in a radiation environment. The tech must be able to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Work Environment : The Nuclear Medicine Tech will work in a hospital or clinical setting, and may be exposed to radiation, infectious diseases, and other hazards. The tech must follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment as required.
