As an RN specializing in Labor & Delivery, you will provide high-quality care to expecting mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to manage heart monitoring, and comprehensive experience in obstetrics. Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; experience in Labor & Delivery is preferred, as well as in Mother-Baby/Postpartum and nursery care.- Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - must have at the time of submission - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - preferred- Licensing: Must have an active nursing license, and pending licenses are accepted. Key Responsibilities: - Provide patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk deliveries.- Monitor fetal heart rates and use intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) for assessments.- Assist in various procedures, including C-sections, recoveries, and sterile vaginal exams.- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.- Manage medications, including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12 shifts); available for 40 hours for 8 or 10-hour shifts. Special Requirements: - Be prepared to complete time-sensitive online modules once the assignment is confirmed.- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission; late RTO requests may not be honored.
