We are seeking an experienced Battery Test and Validation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the
functional safety validation tests of battery packs
. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our battery systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software validation principles and testing methodologies applied to battery system development.
Responsibilities
Execute functional safety battery pack and vehicle testing.
Operate and maintain battery testing equipment (e.g., battery cyclers, environmental chambers, data acquisition systems).
Analyze test data and generate detailed reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Develop and implement new test methodologies and automation scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to provide feedback on battery performance and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all test data, procedures, and reports.
Requirements
4-year degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or industrial technology, or closely related subject
2 years of experience working with battery, Battery Management System (BMS), or HIL technologies
Demonstrated knowledge ofsoftware and hardware validation testing
Demonstrated knowledge of battery test equipment, LabVIEW, and data acquisition systems
Experience with high voltage systems
Experience with communication protocols, CAN-FD and CAN over Ethernet
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
