Opening Fall 2025, the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story property located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, connected directly to the Broward County Convention Center. The hotel features 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. It also offers over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms, and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views. Responsibilities Ensure proper training and supervision of all room service personnel to deliver prompt, courteous service in accordance with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain consistently high food service quality for guests. Monitor tray and table setups, ensuring all products are well presented, linen, china, and silver are spotless, food is properly garnished, and beverages are adequately chilled. Ensure all deliveries are made on time by properly uniformed and groomed staff. Retrieve trays and tables promptly after delivery or upon guest request. Check that staff are performing prep work at the start of shifts and side work at the end. Monitor tray setups and delivery timings, taking action if orders are delayed. Control bussing procedures to maximize tray pickups and leave a list of uncollected trays for the next shift. Oversee all room service deliveries. Maintain adequate supplies of equipment and food items to ensure quality and speed of service. Conduct daily inventories and place requisitions to maintain stock levels. Maintain a stocked liquor backup cabinet if applicable. Manage payroll and food expenditure controls. Plan weekly coverage, avoiding unnecessary overtime and considering staff leave schedules. Ensure inventory accuracy and minimize food waste. Train order takers and cashiers in phone etiquette and cashiering procedures, including check writing, balancing, and reconciliation. Maintain good interdepartmental relationships and offer assistance when needed. Participate in staff meetings and understand food and beverage financials, including cost and par controls. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a hotel food & beverage role, with at least 6 months in Room Dining. Without Room Dining experience, 3 years of leadership in a hotel F&B outlet is required. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate staff. Ability to teach staff proper guest interaction and internal request handling. Experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery, and employee relations. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of health standards and safety policies. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Proficient with computers. Serve Safe certified food manager and unexpired TABC certification required. Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
