Experienced Criminal Defense Attorney
on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected mid-sized law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices throughout the Eastern Seaboard. Job Summary We are recruiting for a Criminal Defense Attorney to join the Virginia legal team, handling cases primarily in Northern Virginia and the I 95 corridor . This position is ideal for a seasoned attorney with strong litigation experience in criminal defense. The successful candidate will manage a full caseload from intake through trial or resolution and collaborate with a dedicated support team of attorneys and paralegals. Responsibilities Represent clients in criminal defense matters from case intake through final appeal.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with appellate cases or post-conviction relief (PCR) is a plus.
Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable.
Prior clerkship experience is advantageous.
Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with the
Virginia Bar .
3-5 years of significant criminal defense litigation experience preferably in Virginia
Strong knowledge of Virginia criminal law, court procedures, and local court systems.
Proven courtroom experience.
